I have an ESXi 5.0 U1 host that is connected to an iSCSI target on a Centos 6.4 system. The other day, I built another Centos 6.4 system. ESX sees and connected to this new system, but would not show under add storage. After some futzing around, I shutdown the origional Centos system and then I could created the datastore and mount it. When I powered up the origional Centos based target, I now could not mount that datastore.
I can shut down either Centos target and mount the other - just not both at once. In vSphere Client > <host IP> > Configuration > Storage Adapters > iSCSI Software Adapter > Details Devices, I can see the RAID controler and the disk for the mounted target. Under Paths, I can see the controler and disk for the other iSCSI host and target. Under Status, they are shown as Active, where the mounted ones are shown as Active (I/O).
As I have stated, I can successfully connect and mount either, as long as the other one is off. I have gone over and over these configurations and for the life of me cannot see what could be an issue.
Any help much appreciated!
