I need to install Java 7 on my RHEL guest O/S. This VM is behind a firewall and does not have access to the internet. So I have to download the file from the Java site to my workstation. I then uploaded the file to the datastore hosting the VM, but my guest O/S does not see this file, or any other file on the datastore. I need to copy this file to the guest O/S in order to install it. Now I believe the datastore is mounted because when I right click the object ‘unmount’ is an option (please see screenshot). Checking the file system using the df –h command output the following: (please see screenshot). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
