Why does Primary server (public) IP get disabled when WAN failover is manually initiated?

Hi,

I'm still testing an eval of HB, and now that I've got everything setup, I tried to manually failover to the secondary server.  Everything went pretty smooth, after I tweaked a few logon accounts to get services up and running.  I can log into the secondary server using vcenter Client, and all is mostly well.

However, when I failed the service over to the secondary Hb server, the Public IP on the Primary server seems to have been disabled.  The Management and Channel IP's are still active and my console can still see the 2 machines and they are still replicating.  I have this setup with just a single NIC with all three IPs on it (both machines of course).  I do not want to have the vcenter machines do any DNS updates, and I accept the fact that when the failover happens, I'll have to log into a new vcenter address.  I don't know if this is tied into the problem.

Does anyone have any idea why the Public IP is disabled and can I change that to not happen?

Thanks,

Jason
