I've been using Fusion since ver 2 (over 3 years). While it's FAR from perfect, it has been reasonably acceptable up to ver 3. Ver 4 & 5, from my experience, are not as "stable" as ver 3. I just bought ver 5 about 1 month ago. I seems to work ok - as good as ver 4 or 5 can work from my experience - but suddenly, on Dec 13, my VMTools in Win7 stopped working/running under the USER process. It loads ONLY in the SYSTEM process.
I can see that it tries to load in the USER process on startup, but suddenly crashes. I've researched this problem and haven't really found many potential solutions. I tried uninstall/reinstall VMT a few times. Tried the Reg key permissions, etc... I'm now working with VMW Tech Support, but they have NOT replied with a resolution yet. They connected to my pc and tried the uninstall/install, Reg key permissions, etc as well, but no success.
I'm hoping that someone in the forum with experience/knowledge re this problem can help me out. Your input would be greatly appreciated...
