Watchdog Violation Error BSOD After Hyper-V Role Installed Windows 2012 R2

Hey everyone I am at last resort, I am running 12.5.9 build-7535481 VMWare Workstation

 

A VM with Windows Server 2012 R2 is provided to us for installation of a Hyper-V Role.

 

I can install the Hyper-V role fine and restart but upon restarting it hangs on the loading screen for some time before loading up a BSOD Watchdog Violation Error.

 

I do not know where to start looking as I have already googled my heart out and tried other forums but I cannot figure it out, some students have had the similar problem and mentioned it was a BIOS issue.

 

I am using a HP Notebook Windows 10 updated and everything, SSD Samsung fully updated as well.

HP DL360 G9 restarts while loading ESXi iso

Hello ,

 

I'm having an unknown issue while performing an upgrade of ESXi 5.5 U3 on a HP DL360 G9

 

 

There is an ESXi 5.1 U3 already installed and i'm trying to upgrade it to 5.5 U3. The HP DL360 G9 has been patched with Service Pack ProLiant of April 2017 and also July 2017 to compare if there was any difference while loading ESXi installer.

 

The Loading ESXi Installer screen loads until the end then the server restart by itself without any error code :

 

 

I tried with other ESXi ISO (5.5 U3 october, and december 2016...) , also BIOS default resetting but the problem still occurs.

 

Do some of you have any advices ?

Importing VM with custom vnet from Fusion in Workstation

I created a CentOS machine on Fusion 7 with a custom interface, that I'd like to use on Workstation 12+. The custom vnet doesn't seem to be automatically (re)created, so I tried configuring it on Virtual Network Editor, but the interface doesn't show on CentOS, although it's already configured there. What am I missing?

Hi,

 

Total noob to Vrops here.  I just got a job with Vrops

 

Can someone point me to a link or give me some high level steps on how to create an email alert for hosts that are disconnected to not responding?

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

Every once in a while I get this core dump on my ESXi server.

The device is the Intel® UHD Graphics 630 that comes bundled with the Intel® Core™ i3-8100 Processor.

vmware fusion reduced performance significantly

Hello

 

I wanted to have a windows 10 machine inside my mac so I installed vm fusion but my mac is just keeps lagging and cpu usage in activity monitor is 100% all the time as the fusion running.

I have a late 2014 macbook pro 13 with i5 2.6 GHz using high sierra 10.3.4

 

Is there any specific setting to optimize the performance on mac?

Migrating VM fro one Datastore to another datastore take time.

Hi Friend ,

 

I am using VMWARE 5.5 and  migrating VM machine from one data store to another data store because of space issue but its take at least 1 hour to migrate 600 MB machine, I have checked by migrating  couple of machine to different data store but getting same issue.

 

Please advise.

After sles12 sp3 Guest OS Customization ,The route didnot take effect

Hi all, I have encount one problem:

Environment:

vmware version:vcenter 5.5 U3

Suse version:Sles SP3

 

Problem Description:

When we provision vm(with mutiple NICs) from suse template, The guest os cumstomizaton task run successfully, and the guest os got the right ip and hostname. But the IP cannot access, after we checked, we found that the route was not take effect, and it is still the old configuration in template.

AS below: the routes file has the right config, but the ifroute-eth0 still with old config in template

we can successfully provision suse11 with the same method.Does anyone have this problem?

one quick query what is the diff / comparison between vshpere client & vmware remote console.

another query i have installed ESXi 6.7 installed in physical machine & able to access & manager console through browser but i need vshpere client to manage it. kindly guide me provide link to download vpshere client.

Ubuntu 18 guest hangs

Sometimes after some usage my Ubuntu 18 guest VM hangs.

 

In the guest I receive the following errors in the syslog multiple times:

I'm currently using VMware Workstation 12 Player on Windows 7 Pro. The graphics drivers on my host are up to date as far as I know.

After upgrade the vcsa to 6.7 the H5 client is throwing an error in Update Manager...

The Update manager does work in the vSphere web client but when I open it in the H5 client I get the following error:

 

 

com.vmware.vim.vmomi.core.exception.CertificateValidationException: Server certificate assertion not verified and thumbprint not matchedsnip_20180420154037.png

 

 

I already renewed all certificates and restarted the vcsa but that didn't solve the issue.

Nested Workflow Question

I have a workflow that has a nested workflow made up of three separate workflows. Nesting these workflows is a requirement as the number of workflows in the nested workflow will grow substantially.  Additionally each new workflow that is added has a requirement to be "pluggable" meaning the workflow can stand alone and run OR get added to the nested workflow without any additional scripting needed.

 

Each workflow has two inputs, masterTable and masterScore.  The workflows read in the values of these two variables, perform an operation and append/add their results to these variables.  Once complete the working variables are output again to masterTable and masterScore.  The end result is masterTable and masterScore will be used as part of a report.

 

I am getting an error that states "Bindings used twice for an out parameter, this is not allowed [masterScore]".  I had a small scriptable task that collates the data with seperate outputs, works fine but breaks the pluggable requirement because additional scripting is needed when another workflow is added.  If I create the workflows inline, I can resuse the variables with no issue but this workflow will quickly grow very large and bulky.

 

Anyone encounter this issue before and how did you get past it?

ESXi web ui error 500 (Internal Server Error)

When trying to access my WebUI, it runs very, very slow and then completely goes unresponsive. When I run developer tools, I'm met with several internal errors(500) as well as 'main.js:379' tied to the error code 500.

 

Has anyone experienced something similar to this, and if so any solutions or a good place to start looking? I've done some digging on the web with no luck. I havent tried restarting the Server as I cannot guarantee the Servers will come back online, and without Web access there is no way I know of to turn them on IF they dont come up. SSH is also disabled by default, for security reasons and can only be enabled via the WebUI.

 

to add some context, this happened after we upgraded to

update-from-esxi6.5-6.5_update02

Start shared VM locally (script/command) from cmd at specific day/time

Hi all!

Running shared VM on Windows WorkStation 14

I am aware of shared VM power options and setting it to start with Windows works fine.

But I need to start this VM only on week days at 9 am, so I was considering writing a script to do that.

But when I try to use vmrun or just start it from cmd I am getting the error that "Locally open shared VM is not allowed."

Using

vmrun -T ws -h 127.0.0.1 start "C:\<pathToSharedVM>"

gives me the same error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
