Bridged network will not work for Win7/8 but OK for XP

Hi Everyone,

my Laptop is the host PC and is connected to the network using wireless (Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 1030)

 

All VM's were created months ago, all were connecting with the network adapter set to Bridged

 

Today Win XP still connects to the network/internet - Win7 and Win8 VM do not connect to the network anymore


Win XP Guest

 

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
        Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . : XXX.XXXXXXX.local (Edited to protect the innocent!)
        IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.121
        Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
        Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.249

 

Settings for VM are as shown below... this is the standard setup for ALL VM that were working fine and remain so for WinXP.

Win8Enterprise Guest

Please note, this was working fine

 

Windows IP Configuration

 

 

Ethernet adapter Bluetooth Network Connection:

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :

 

Ethernet adapter Ethernet:

 

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :

   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . :

 

Tunnel adapter isatap.{E5BED9F8-C3C4-4E11-A01F-68F844281612}:

 

   Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :

 

Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface:

 

   Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected

   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . :

 

 

A very different output... Win7 is basically the same, it will not connect to the internet.

 

The Workstation version in use is 8.0.6 build-1035888

 

Any help would be great...
