For some reason, I cannot change the RAM memory allocation for those guest OSs. The settings are enabled (not grayed out) and I can make edits in the settings panels, but the changes are lost as soon as I close the Settings window. When I reopen the Settings window, the changes have reverted back to what they were before.
I have multiple guest OSs in VMware Fusion 5.0.3 under Mac OS 10.8.3. This problem must have appeared in the last month or so. I don't change settings very often.
The guest OSs are all completely shutdown, and none of them have snapshots or any special situations. I have looked at file ownership and permissions for the guest OS files and their package contents, and they appear to be correct and writable. I just downloaded and reinstalled VMware Fusion 5.0.3, but it didn't help.
I have used VMware Fusion since version 1.0, and have not seen this problem before.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
