I am using Win 7 (host) WS 9.02 and the latest version of ubuntu 13.04 64b - I installed VMware tools & cut and paste works but file sharing does not work. During the tools install I get the message: If you wish to have the shared folders feature, you can install the driver by running vmware-config-tools.pl again after making sure that gcc, binutils, make and the kernel sources for your running kernel are installed on your machine.
These packages are available on your distribution's installation CD.
I need to share folder- Is there a workaround like a driver that will windows explorer see the FS, or do I need to load up an earlier version of Ubuntu?
