Hi everyone, :-)
I guess as VMWare Player is limited by design there is not much hope that it works but if it is possible, please tell me how. :-)
I would like to skip the saving part when reloading a save state in order to save time. Clarification: Can I save a state x, then play, then when failing at the game 'unplug the VM' and then restore the save state x?
Nice bonus (i.o.w. not very important) would be:
Savestates can be saved into ramdisk and loaded from ramdisk, using windows-symbolic links or whatever :-)
Multiple savestates
completely automatable with AutoHotKey
Greetings and thanks in advance. :-)
For the curious: In Microsoft Virtual PC I have problems with other things but it is possible:
0) create [a few] save states
1) edit the VM config file so that it points to the save state you want
2) back it up, then double-click it to start from that save state
3) after shutting off without saving, the config file 'says' 'computer was shut off without saving'. Therefore, replace that with the backup from (2).
Every single step is automatable with AutoHotKey and batch scripts by the way. :-)
