Hello,
we configured APC PowerChute Network Shutdown 3.0.1 using vSphere 5.1 with vMA 5.1.0 on our only ESXi host.
Originally, free version of ESXi was installed (IBM customized). Later we did license it to vSphere Essentials.
The problem; if we execute manually from vMA, the script "shutdown" in the directory /opt/APC/PowerChute/group1/bin/ it works perfectly; guests shuts down clean and everything.
But, if I try calling the script from PCNS putting the path to the "shutdown" script in the field "Run this command file" on the PCNS Shutdown Configuration, it doesn't work at all.
SSH is enabled in ESXi and VMware Tools are installed on every virtual machine.
The solution presented on Shneider-Electric KB FA159783 was already tried.
Does anyone has some information if this works with this version of ESXi and vMA??
Thanks in advance! I'm breaking my mind against this.
