Hello,

Below is our current ESXi details for 2 environment;

ENV 1:

ESXi Version: 4.1

Number of ESXi: 4 in one Cluster with DRS

CPU: 12 CPUs * Intel Xeon X5650 @ 2.8

Socket: 2

Cores: 6

HT: Enabled

Logical Processors: 24 * 4

RAM: 73 gb per host

Currently total VMs hosted: 90

Reservation: None

ENV2:

ESXi Version: 5.0

Number of ESXi: 3 in one Cluster with DRS

CPU: 12 CPUs * Intel Xeon X5650 @ 2.5

Socket: 2

Cores: 6

HT: Enabled

Logical Processors: 24 * 4

RAM: 98 gb per host

Currently total VMs hosted: 40

Reservation: None

1) How to know what is the maximum numbers of VMs it would be good to host based on above CPU and Memory, as already 90 and 40 vms are hosted.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Mihir
