Hello,
I am trying to figure out how our company should spend $$$ with regards to our virtual infrastructure.
So far we have 4 Dell T-410's running ESXi 5.1 attached to 2 QNAP boxes using iSCSI. This is my first job as a sys admin and my boss has asked me to recommend if our hardware needs an upgrade or if we are just fine with the current setup.
We have our hosts connected to a vCenter Server and I am trying to gather performance data to figure out if anything is being maxed out.
I was wondering if other experienced engineers had any advice on how to proceed in this situation. What are some key numbers I should be looking out for? What VMware technology should I be using to make this recommendation?
