Removing Host from dvSwitch

I’m removing a host from a dvSwitch and got the port in use error so need to remove the virtual nics as described in the below link. OK that’s pretty simple but issue is that the management is on the dvSwitch so when I remove vmk0 I lose complete access to the server, it stops responding to pings  and cannot now create a local switch on it with the free adapters.

The solution would be I thought to create a vmkernel local switch0 so that the host could be managed once its cut off from the dvswitch but the issue I have is that the management IP (host IP) is in use on the dvswitch so I cant use the same IP and cant use a different a IP address other than the one assigned to the host.

Any ideas how to remove the host from the dvswitch and not lose connectivity to it?

Thanks..
