Hi, we have currently our Exchange 2010 mailbox/dag servers on NFS storage but the database and logs on iSCSI due to the Microsoft support. We are changing storage so the 6 database drives will be mounted on 6x fibre channel block based VMFS datastores. So we would be creating a VMDK file on each of the datastores and connecting those VMDKs to the Exchange mailbox server. The mailbox data would then be copied to these drives, letters allocated and Exchange started again. Could anyone advise if this new storage meets the MS support requirements please?
Also, any suggestion as to what provisioning mode to use for the VMDKs, I guess thick eager zeroed?
Thanks in advance!
