We have few ESXi 5.1 host with a problem on root login. We added a bunch of ESXi host in Power Keeper in that list of servers few host not added properly and we lost access to root. Those hosts are added to Vcenter 5.1 so those hosts are working fine and we can manage, but we lost root access. Information i found is" Reinstalling the ESXi host is the only supported way to reset a password on ESXi ". Is there any other option to solve this I have ILO access to those ESXi hosts.
