using powercli to collect logs on esxi hosts

wondering what the best solution is..

We are currently having what I think is storage issues that is really affecting us..

So I want to try to capture in segments at a time is the ESXi nodes logs. I have sysloging happening but that is just TMI sometimes. I rather get what I need and get out.

Is there a way in powercli to gather  "warning" "error" messages for the nodes logs files? Is there a commandlet?

I don't expect this to be a permanent, just something I need to run for a given time-frame in hopes of catching something.  I was thinking of putting something together and have it run against the nodes every few hours.. so maybe a total of 12 times a day. (2hr  chunks of data).

doable? crazy? or a better option?

thanks!!

David
