Hello,
We are creating Windows Server based virtual appliances using VMware Studio. We would like these VA's to be able to take advantage of VMware Update Manager in vSphere by creating updates in a repository. However, all the examples I see are assume a Linux VA especially when they reference updates as rpms or debs.
So is this possible with Windows? Basically we would like to:
- Release a 1.0 of the Windows appliance
- Deploy it to a vSphere environment
- Later create a 1.1 "patch" of the appliance and upload it to a repository
- In the deployment environment, have vSphere recognize an update is available and patch the deployed appliance to V1.1.
Thanks!
Horus
