When connecting to Citrix desktop, mouse focus goes haywire

When connecting within VMware fusion (latest version) to a Citrix desktop using varying versions of Citrix Receiver, mouse begins working OK, but if you mouse outside of the Window, then back in - mouse focus is then off and the session is unusable.

Also, upon connecting to the session (even before the mouse focus issue above), you are sometimes prompted with an option to optimize Flash for this session.  This dialog box cannot be clicked on.  The mouse clicks do not register, even though focus is OK.  

I showed someone this problem via a WebEx/GoToMeeting session the other day.  His mouse WAS able to select these buttons.

I have tried most of the fixes in here:

But so far, none have worked yet.

Has anyone else experienced this?
