I work from home as a self-employed contractor. My work environment runs on a DVD that loads Ubuntu on PC start up. So, you cannot run in a Windows environment, and there are only select tools installed on the DVD. I had managed to get around this by loading an ISO of the DVD in VM Player. For 2 years, I've done this without any issues. Last week, they loaded a patch which detects VM's when you load the DVD. Anyone have any ideas as to what needs to be changed in the VM file to avoid this detection? If I have to go back to working in the DVD environment, I'll go crazy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
