Installed the Preview on a fresh OpenSUSE 12.3 host. Installation reported no problems but vmplayer UI and Workstation UI fails to start. Starting the UI directly shows that the libart_lgpl_2-2 package was missing.
After a "sudo zypper in libart_lgpl_2-2" the UI comes up.
