Dear All,
We would like to know if the below is expected behavior.
1. We have created Linux template, having a scratch drive ( storage) attached to the machine, around 150GB
2. We used the template to deploy VM it took 45 minutes.
The time taken to deploy VM took around 45 Min which we think its very huge. But if we remove the 150GB drive from the template ( contains OS and some application total disk size 85 GB ) and deployed the VM it took 7 to 8 minutes. We would like to know what is happening during VM deployment why its taking long time when the 150GB drive is present in the template.
How can we reduce the time to deploy VM from template when drive space 150GB is present. Do we have certain mechanism which will ignore checking of drive during VM creation. We would like to avoid disk attachment step post VM deployment.
If there is no such option to avoid long deployment time, then to attached disk post VM deployment then please let me know how to attach disk, do we have Perl script for the same which can attach such disk in Linux as well as windows.
Appreciate your response.
Thanks,
Nilesh
