would like to 'migrate' old 32bit PC (XP SP3) as Virtual machine to new 64bit PC (Windows 7)

Although I have Acronis True Image 2013 on my 32bit PC, apparently VMware Vconverter doesn't support Acronis *.tib files newer than Acronis True Image 11. What I have are a pair of literally standalone PCs (not interconnected in any way, at least as yet). I'm unfamiliar with some of the acronyms found in the VM documentation, but I get the impression that if they were hooked together that it would be possible to install the VMware Vconverted product on the 64bit PC and 'bring over' the 32bit PC as a virtual PC. If I am correct, what would that take? Know that I'm not a hardware/software expert and ne'er really used any of these products before in any meaningful way.
