Windows 2003 server VM, client running Windows 7.
I upgraded from WS 6 to 9 a couple months ago, Ran great but slow. Debugging I noticed my old VM was running single processor (laptop has 8 cores/8 GB RAM), so I upped memory and CPU to the VM, realized that I needed to upgrade the VM from 6 to 9 to use more CPUs so I did.
After that I get the Blue Screen of Death now and then with DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
From what I can tell that is usually a driver mismatch, but I also know that I had not seen it before I upgraded the VM (not the software but the VM itself) to WS 0 compatibility
I cannot see how that would cause a BSOD, but I do not see any other cause. I searched the forums with no luck.
Probably going to end up building a new VM from scratch (maybe on 2008 instead of 2003) but I wanted to see if I was missing anything
TIA
Andy
