Windows 7 host:
I connect to WSX via http://localhost:8888
I am able to login to WSX when using a username that has a space in it: Example: John Doe
User 'John Doe' is part of the Administrators group, yet does not immediately see the available shared virtual machines.
Attempting to add https://localhost:2443 results in an 'unable to connect' message.
Same configuration, but I login as user: JaneDoe, I can immediately see the server and click through to see my virtual machines.
I noticed that there was a previous issue where it pertained to user IDs that contained a hyphen - example: john-doe and a mention that it would be fixed in 1.0.2. Unfortunately, I was unable to relocate the post that mentions it. This issue may be related.
In the meanwhile, I will work around this issue as I am very overdue for a host OS reinstall/refresh anyway and I will avoid the space in the username as it's inherently problematic with several 3rd party applications. Still, it would be good if VMWare was not one of those 3rd party apps that doesn't support the full scope of possible usernames within all of the OSs it supports.
