We are trying to test the incoming email feature to automatically log calls. In the email server settings window i have setup a new profile. Thinking of going down the MAPI route for now as our Exchange is not setup for POP3 or IMAP.
I have installed Outlook on the VSM server and created a MAPI profile for myself, i can connect and read my emails fine.
In the Incoming email server details I have specified my account details as a test, user ID is my Windows account etc. Howerver when it comes to test the profile i get a greyed out Test button with the following error - due to security contraints, the selected email protocol may not be tested from within VMware Service Manager.
I cannot find any account limitation setting which would prevent me from testing this. I am an admin and have full access to all parts of the system.
Am I missing something?
Should I go down the POP3 or IMAP route for incoming email?
Any pointers would be greatly received.
