We've got SQL server VM which puts a huge load on storage: 1,5k average commands per second, with 3,5k spikes (as reported by vCenter). It negatively impacts all datastores latency as a result. We are using vSphere 4.1. I'm aware of SIOC, but VM uses RDM LUNs and SIOC doesn't support RDMs. Do we have any other options on how to restrict VM IOPS or we are doomed here?
