How to organize iSCSI SAN?

This is the situtation: I do have one VCSA and 5 ESXi-Hosts. Each of the hosts do have an uplink and two NICs to connect to iSCSI storages.

 

Currently there are two different private networks - connected by two different switches. The Storages are connected to both networks.

 

Now I am thinking if it would be better to connect the two networks and to stack the switches: Every ESXi-host would keep its two NICs, but with adresses from the same network. With port binding it would be possible to keep the redundancy on the same level.

 

What would be better?

 

The current situation: 2 distinct networks - no routing between these networks:

The possible future situation: No connection is lost - but adress range is spanned over both switches, the switches are connected:
