Hello!
I have previously installed ESXi 6.7 on this problematic system so it should be compatible, but at the moment current installation doesn’t respond to any keyboard keypress. I am unable to access web control panel due to failed ethernet passtrough configuration. It won’t find IP address (DHCP lookup failed).
Because of this state I decided it’s better to just reinstall everything, but even the installer doesn’t respond to keyboard keypresses. The keyboard works perfectly when I connect it to my laptop.
I tried to solve this issue using this guide: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1003868
But it didn’t change anything.
At the moment keyboard works on the first bootloader menu, but after loading the ESXi installer it just freezes. All loading bars go trought with no errors. I can get to the welcome screen of ESXi installation but pressing enter or esc or any button does nothing.
My keyboard layout is Finnish and motherboard is made by Supermicro (model: x9dri-ln4f+)
I have tried different usb settings on bios, turning on legacy usb support as well as EICHI hand-off and port 60/64 emulation with no success.
I tried dell optimized disk image because my raid card is made by Dell.
I tried with ESXi 6.7 iso as well as ESXi U3 iso.
I tried to unplug all extra storage devices and tried with both nvidia and amd gpus.
I still have that previously installed system.
As I said I have had working ESXi host on that same server and I have not seen any errors so I have no idea how should I continue. I am ready to reinstall or format all my drives again if there is a way to fix this. Any help would really be appreciated
