Afternoon all,
I'm trying to migrate some VM's from an existing ESXi 4.1 cluster to a new ESXi 5.1 cluster.
I've installed VMWare Converter 5.1 on the management server at the destination end, and have allowed the relevant firewall ports between the 2 VC servers, as defined in: http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1010056
I can load up the Cluster inventory successfully in VMWare Converter, however whenever I select a host, I get:
'Unable to obtain hardware information for the selected machine.'
Source vm is a Centos 4/5 OS type, with a Centos 5 OS installation. VMWware tools is installed, and I powered the VM down to attempt the migration.
VMWare converter diagnostic logs look like:
2013-05-03T11:38:29.333+01:00 [05116 verbose 'wizardController'] Trying connection to VC server '192.168.150.21' with user 'gavinw'
