My company's tech support guys r useless..

Hi guys, I need help!

My company recently switched to VDI. They officially do NOT support tablets like ipads or android, but I know and have seen ipad users use VDI. I tried this with the Android VDI app, and when I go to connect all it does is keep trying without any kind of an error message....

My question is, what would cause ipads to work but not android devices? Is it something that has to be turned on from the IT department at my company, or is it some sort of an issue native to the android platform vs iOS? I tried asking the tech support jerks at my office for help, but that's exactly what they are.... Jerks.... Because all they do is completely avoid the subject and keep repeating that it's not officially supported, and talk down to anyone who does mention android or ipads.

I really, really would hate to buy an ipad, because I am an android user.... So please, if there's something I have to ask my IT or do on my end, any help would be great.

I do know that to get vmware working on ipads, something called Junos pulse was needed.... I tried the same for android but couldn't get it, or vmware, to work.
