I am trying to understand how to integrate the various monitoring tools that organizations may into vCops. SCOM is pretty straightforward, buy the license and implement the adapter, but what type of data can I gather? Will the SCOM adapter allow me to view specific perfmon data. For example, could I pull SAP perfmon data and then associate it with the SAP VM that vCops is monitoring?
What about these tools:
- Splunk/Syslog/Event Log (can 3rd party events be filtered and associated with vCops events dashboard?)
- HP SIM
- Solarwinds
- Orion
- Nagios
- etc
Customers like what they see with vCops and then the next question is how to integrate their existing tools into vCops.
