I try to install VMware-VMvisor-Installer-5.0.0-469512.x86_64 on a Supermicro X8SIL-F motherboard with a Xeon L3406 and 4 GB Kingston Unbuffered ECC RAM.
I have tried mounting the ISO in IPMI and creating an USB install stick. Both methods boot just fine but the installation hangs on both occasions with a Initializing IOV message on a grey/yellow screen.
What can be wrong here? BIOS settings? I loaded defaults and set Intel Virtualization Tech and vt-d on enabled. Unsupported CPU? Too little RAM?
How do I troubleshoot this issue?
